Sharks High Performance Program

The Southern Peninsula Basketball Association is delighted to announce the induction of our “Sharks High Performance Program”.

The program aims to provide the identified athletes the additional opportunity to develop their game, with an eye on the future.  Under the tutelage of Gerard Hillier, those selected will train in small group settings, with a focus on long term development and building the skill set that each athlete will require at the next level.

In addition to their two VJBL trainings each week, the selected athletes will receive detailed coaching of the highest quality, further adding to the development opportunities that the SPBA is providing.

Whilst the u12 and u14 program has commenced already, the u16 program will start in Term 1 of 2020.

The SPBA believe that this program will assist us in taking the next step forwards as an Association in terms of representation at the State, National and International level.  By working with these athletes, from an earlier age and on a more regular basis, we hope we continue to assist athletes achieve to the heights, and exceed that of what recent Sharks juniors like Ella Hellessey, Eliza West, Jaz Shelley or Olivia Pollerd have.
