Junior players join the Community Competition through one of our nine local clubs. Get in touch with the club closest to you and they will take it from there.

Contact a club before you contact the Association. They know which teams have room and which age group suits your child.

Most families choose the club closest to home or school. Any of our nine clubs will welcome your child, so there is no wrong answer.

Email or call the club contact below. They will let you know what teams are available for your child's age group and season.
Register and play
Once the club has a spot for your child, everyone registers online through PlayHQ before the first game.

Once You Have A Club
Two things happen next, and both are quick.
Register your player
Every season- Your club adds your child to a team.
- You register them online through PlayHQ using your own email address.
- Registration must be complete before their first game.
Know before Round 1
The basicsTeams wear matching singlets and shorts without pockets, each team provides a scorer aged 14 or older, and the opening rounds of the season act as the grading period.
Team and player registrations for both the summer and winter seasons are handled through our registration page.

All coaches and team managers of junior teams must hold a valid Working with Children Check and a signed Statutory Declaration before they start in the role.

Southern Peninsula Basketball Association is a child safe organisation with zero tolerance for child abuse and neglect. Our clubs operate in line with Basketball Victoria's Child Safeguarding Policy and Basketball Australia's National Integrity Framework.
All coaches and team managers working with junior teams hold a current Victorian Working with Children Check and a signed Statutory Declaration. If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child at any SPBA venue, speak to a staff member on duty or visit our child safety page.
