Allen Moving On

Two days out from our Division Two Men’s Championship Anniversary, we sadly inform our members that unfortunately Lucas Allen has decided not to continue with the Senior Men’s Program for the 2021 season as he has taken up a further position elsewhere.

Lucas led the Senior Men’s team from its re-introduction back into the league in 2017 to take out the 2019 Division Two Championship. Lucas has also played a critical part to breaking down the barriers between the junior and senior program as a driving vision. We thank Lucas and wish him the best of luck with his future.

Lucas is highly respected by not only his former team, but every opponent the team came up against. In his time at the SPBA has held multiple roles including, Director of Coaching, Marketing & Sponsorship.

We wish Lucas all the very best with his future endeavours, in particular with his work on the staff at the South East Melbourne Phoenix, Hoops247 and Chisholm Academy.

The Club is already well into the process head hunting and securing a new suitably experienced head coach for the 2021 season. Applications for this position are set to go out this week and we will update members.
