Return to Basketball – 19/6/20
The Southern Peninsula Basketball Association has today been advised that the Department of Eduction and Training will not be allowing community groups to use indoor spaces on school sites.
The SPBA apologises for the changes, however, it is beyond our control, and is something that both Dromana and Rosebud Secondary were unaware of when providing us with the tick of approval to return to using their facilities.
Unfortunately, this means that training sessions which were due to begin on June 22nd will have to be postponed until further information is provided by the Department of Education and Training.
Basketball Victoria is currently working through this issue, as it impacts numerous Basketball Associations Victoria wide. Once we have a further update, we will be sure to let our community know.
The planned dates for Domestic returning will remain as promoted at this point in time; July 20th for Junior Domestic to return and July 27th for Senior Domestic to return. If these dates are impacted, again, we will let our community know at the earliest possible convenience.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding in these times. The situation remains fluid and will continue to change as we progress closer and closer to returning to Basketball.
