2021 Annual General Meeting

Southern Peninsula Basketball Association (SPBA) would like to advise all members of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association on Wednesday 6th October, 2021.

This meeting is being convened in accordance with the SPBA Constitution. All members under the Constitution are invited to attend. For the avoidance of doubt in the current COVID-19 climate, a playing member is classified as a registered members in the previous season and/or registered in the upcoming season.

The Ordinary Business of the AGM shall be:

to confirm the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting and of any General Meeting held since that meeting; and
to receive from the Board reports upon the transactions of the Association during the last preceding financial year; and
to elect the Directors of the Association; and

to appoint an auditor for the forthcoming year; and
to transact any other business of which notice in writing shall have been given to the Secretary of the Association at least seven (7) days prior to the date of the meeting.

Any business members wish to be tabled at the Annual General Meeting must be received by September 29th, 2021 at 7:00pm to gm@sthpen.com.au. You will receive a reply to confirm your correspondence has been received.

Nominations

The Southern Peninsula Basketball Association (SPBA) seeks nominations from suitably qualified people for election to fill four Board Member positions for the Board of Management (BOM) at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 6^th 2021.

The SPBA was formed in 1967, providing basketball programs and competitions for the majority of the Mornington Peninsula region. We are in an exciting for basketball in the region with a focus on a catered approach of basketball for everyone being the guiding principle. We are building our programs to be all inclusive and cater for all skill levels and abilities while continuing our rich history of developing high performing athletes and coaches.

In accordance with the SPBA Constitution, the voting members at an SPBA AGM are playing members, parent members and life members. NOTE: Temporary members and members under the age of 18 are not entitled to vote.
