Pollerd Selected to Australian Team

A MASSIVE congratulations is in store for Olivia Pollerd after this mornings announcement that she has been selected in the Basketball Australia u17 Sapphires team to compete at the 2017 FIBA u16 Asia Championships.

Olivia will travel to Bengaluru, India from October 22-28, with her team aiming to qualify for the 2018 FIBA u17 World Championships.

Pollerd’s selection comes off the back of a successful Basketball Australia u16 Australian Junior Championships where she helped lead her team to a Silver Medal finish.

Sharks Director of Coaching and Development, Gerard Hillier said that “Olivia’s selection is a testament to the work she has put in over the last 12-18 months.  It is a well deserved reward, hopefully the first of many to come for her”

Olivia now joins former Southern Peninsula State Championship Women’s team members, Ella Hellessey and Jaz Shelley to play in the Green and Gold.
