2022 VJBL Team Announcement

Congratulations to all players selected!

Please ensure you thoroughly read the below important information.

Registration Fees & Information

Registration Due Date

In order to confirm your child’s position, registration is due by Monday 22nd of November 2021, 9am. Please see the payment options below.

Payment Options
  1. Pay up front by the registration form
    OR
  2. Select the Humm Buy Now, Pay Later option on checkout which will provide flexible payment terms of between 5 weeks to 30 months.

If any family has substantial financial hardship and the above payment options are not suitable. Please contact gm@sthpen.com.au for a confidential discussion.

Registration Fees

Registration fees for 2021 are as follows:

  • 1st Team Players – $600
  • 2nd & 3rd Team Players – $550
  • Future Sharks – $150

All fees are exclusive of system processing fees.

When registering, you can also purchase uniform and other apparel items.

Information Session

Due to the short timeframe to get teams back on court in time for the first game and avoiding large groups in the current climate, our Director of Coaching will be doing smaller information sessions with each team over the coming weeks.

Most information can also be found in our information pack. Some details are still pending due to COVID-19.

Team Training

You will receive contact from the club or your team coach in the coming days regarding training times. Training will start from this Sunday 21st November 2021 with the first games kicking off on December 3rd 2021.

Playing Uniform & Apparel

The minimum requirement for players is:

  • Playing singlet
  • Playing shorts
  • Training singlet
  • Foam roller
  • Basketball

Players are required to wear Southern Peninsula clothing as their outermost clothing before, during and after trainings and games. It is handy to also have a hoodie and t-shirt for this.

Playing uniform orders must be in by 9am on Monday 22nd November so we can place to order. All other items are available in store or on the online shop.

For those that do not have a playing uniform yet, we will organise a loan set to play in until your uniform arrives after you order it.

You can try on playing uniforms for size at any of the below times:

  • Tuesday 16th November – 5:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Thursday 17th November – 4:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Sunday 21st November – 9:00am – 12:00pm

Apparel items such as bags, tees, hoodies, training singlets, etc can be ordered online or purchased in store at our Dromana or Rosebud Stadiums.

PlayHQ Registration

All players, coaches and team managers must ALSO register to their team below by 9am Monday 22nd November.

This must be in addition to paying the relevant fees in the registration section.

Note – when registering in PlayHQ, if due, you may be prompted to pay the $25 Basketball Victoria Annual License fee. This does not go to SPBA and this is what you usually pay when you pay for domestic – it will only charge you if it is due and will cover you for 365 days.

Uniforms

All uniforms must be now be the new Southern Peninsula logo and branding. This includes playing uniform, training uniform and off court apparel. After 1st January 2022 for trainings and games the current style clothing and uniform must be worn.

Tournaments

More information on tournaments will be provided in the coming weeks, however, below is some information we have on hand at present.

Southern Peninsula Tournament

We have our own Southern Peninsula Tournament on the 4th & 5th December.

Teams will play 4 games across the weekend and will also have a duty roster to help across stadiums for our biggest fundraiser event of the year.

Australia Day Weekend Tournament

Further information will be sent out shortly regarding this tournament.

Basketball Victoria Country Championships

First teams participate in their respective age group of the Basketball Victoria Country Championships. Dates and further details can be found HERE.
