I am a Team Manager

Your primary point of contact for all matters is your club.
Your club has direct communication with the Association.

We ask that all communication to the Association go through your club. This is because we are only a very small team of staff and volunteers overseeing over 2,500 members and we cannot communicate with each member individually. Additionally, your club is best placed to help you as they can provide an individualised approach.

Additionally, you are the point of contact for your team’s players (and parents).

In summary the communication channel is as below:

PLAYER > TEAM MANAGER > CLUB > ASSOCIATION

If you are training at an external venue, you will often get asked for a Certificate of Currency (insurance certificate). SPBA teams are covered under the Association policy. The certificate is available here:

Fixture Release Times

Fixtures during the first five weeks are periodically released to allow for accurate grading of teams. We endeavour to have the remainder of the season fixture up within a few days after the end of round five to allow participants to plan their year ahead.

For more information on grading and fixture release times, see below.

Grading Phase

At the start of the season, the first three rounds are released for the initial grading phase.

After the first three rounds, club delegates meet to review the grading of teams and provide feedback on recommended movements to the SPBA.

Ladder points are reset at the end of this grading period.

Season

During rounds four and five, there may continue to be minor changes to fixtures in exceptional circumstances.

Fixtures will initially be released for rounds four and five, with the remainder of the season to be published within a few days of the end of round five.

Unfortunately we cannot accomodate for fixture requests. This is to ensure we can have fixtures out a quickly as possible. We have close to 3,000 members and a single fixture request for one team can take up to an hour to manually adjust games which can also disadvantage other teams. We only have one person running the Domestic Competition with over 160 games played every week.

Teams have two options for payment of game fees:

  1. Over the counter
  2. Via TeamPay

The team game fees from October 2023 are as follows:

Junior Team Game Fee: $75 per team
Senior Team Game Fee: $76 per team

Every team staff for junior teams are required to complete the below requirements submitted through your club.
